About Us

WELCOME TO Vintage Arms

Vintage Arms is hosted by long-time firearm enthusiasts Mark and Gene Schack, who share a lifelong passion for American antique firearms and the history surrounding them. Their focus spans the years 1860 through 1950, beginning with the era of winning the West and covering some of the most iconic firearms ever produced. Through hands-on experience, historical insight, and real-world knowledge, Vintage Arms explores how these firearms were created, how they were originally used, how they’re enjoyed today, and why they continue to matter—both culturally and historically.

Firearms have been part of Mark and Gene’s lives since childhood, learning to shoot at a young age alongside their fathers and building skills from BB guns and .22s to the collections they enjoy today. Vintage Arms is part of the broader Vintage family, alongside Vintage Tint, Vintage Boats, and Vintage Sleds—projects dedicated to preserving and celebrating well-crafted machines from the past. At its core, Vintage Arms is about sharing stories, knowledge, and appreciation for classic American firearms, while inviting others to join the conversation and explore the world of vintage.
